The Nordic style for home decor is trendy at the moment. Think clean lines, geometric prints, woods mix with metal, and lots of furs. An accessible room for the Scandinavian style is in a nursery. It always looks so fresh and clean. We have for you some tips for creating the perfect Scandi style nursery.

    What colors to choose

A white space is a must for the Nordic nursery. A blank canvas creates an ideal background for mixing textures and patterns. Try white walls, and then you can always add pops of color with soft furnishings or wall ornaments. Use also greys, whites, and blacks. So white is the foundation. Play with shades.

As far as black is concerned, Nordic toys for babies are often white-black - babies perceive this combination well. Black color can be used on furniture as well as accessories or toys.

    Wood in nursery

The children's room will make the wooden materials cozy, bring warmth to the room. Just a few pieces of furniture, accessories, or wood floor use wooden frames on the walls with some of your favorite wall prints. If you don't like wooden furniture, you need to find a few wicker accessories.

    Buy Neutral Nursery Furniture

In the room in the Nordic style, you can get furniture of clean shapes, straight lines, without decoration. Bet on its practicality and easy maintenance. Natural wood furniture is the best. To save money, find furniture that grows with your child. You can buy cots that convert into toddler beds or desks that could double up as a changing table. Keeping a chair in the room is a good idea for all of those late nights. Find something comfortable to sit in but also looks good in the room.

    Light Up the Space

Use different additional luminaires. There should be a work lamp on the desk, a reading lamp at the bed, and various light chains or letters work very effectively. Put them on the shelf, hang over the crib, on the teepee, at the window, anywhere.

    Textiles from natural materials

All fabrics used should be made of natural materials such as cotton, wool, linen. Cushions decorate your favorite animal motifs or combine knitted patterns with geometric patterns. In the crib, use soft cotton and add a woolen tartan with fringe.
